Another month has come and gone, and man have we been busy! So we’re here to catch you up to speed on our most recent project. We met with Cloister Wash & Lube back in early March to discuss how video could be used to help the roll out of their new pricing tier for washes.
Unanimously, we agreed that a campaign pushing the affordable $7.54 wash was the way to go. We decided to start with six simple spots showcasing why its a good idea to stop putting off getting your car washed, especially when it will only cost you eight bucks. The spots range from entertaining your kids to the ever-unsightly bug meets windshield.
What made working on this campaign a lot of fun for us was the fact that we had the chance to play. And by play, I mean standing inside of the wash tunnel to film while water was spraying in our general direction.

Water aside, it also gave us the chance to use some new gear we’ve picked up. There’s something to be said about that rush you get when you strap a brand new camera with a 8mm fish eye lens on a car mount to the back of a convertible and send it off down the road. In all seriousness though, we were able to introduce using the Panasonic GH-2 into our video production lineup. The commercials were filmed with a combination of the Panasonic HPX170 (both stock and with the SG Blade) and the the GH-2. Can you tell which was which?
Above that, we were very fortunate to work with a wide range of talented actors from all over Pennsylvania. This was one of the most diverse groupings of actors we’ve worked with to date, including Champ… the 100lb Bernese Mountain Dog. Not to play favorites, but that dog was pretty awesome… and not to mention ginormous.

Working with Cloister has been an honor. They’ve been around since 1984… currently have four locations, one of which is on 7.2 acres of land… do a lot of admirable work with their Grace for Vets program… and have a lot of new and innovative ideas coming out of their headquarters. Not to mention their washes do one helluva job! Shufflebox looks forward to continuing to work with Cloister on this very fun and open campaign concept. Keep an eye out for the commercials on air and make sure you tell them that we sent you!
